First time cruiser didn’t really expect cruising to be my thing. Carnival exceeded my expectations. The Legend decor is certainly very elaborate, and fussy. There’s no sign of minimalism or trendy vogue decor. However it was safe to say I had the most relaxing vacation in a long time. Great food. Great friendly service and staff. Clean facilities. Nothing really to fault at this price point. Ages 6 to 83 in my group and all parties equally enjoyed it. Would sail with Carnival again.

We have now been on 3 cruises on the Golden Princess it is a good size ship large but not to big like some of the newer ships. The food on Princess Cruise is always very good. We went traditional dining were we find the service better than anytime dining, you have the same waiters and table each night and the same table companions which by the end of the cruise become friends. We have not been to PNG before and we loved it, would certainly go again it has unspoiled beauty and the locals were wonderful. The entertainment was good and the cabin well maintained, the cabins are quite compact, we had a mini suite with is larger than a standard cabin but is still on the small size for a larger than standard cabin. The service was a high standard and the staff very friendly. Most of the guest are in the 50 to death category so not so many children or teens which is good if you like peace and quite, although not many young people you are still able to have lots of fun with the staff with all the on going activities indoor and outside. Would recommend this ship we loved it and would cruise Golden Princess again.

We just came back from this weekend cruise and have to following comments
The Ship is very dark inside and the dacor is very out there

The staff are very good

The beds and cabins were very comfortable

Entrainment very good

The food was very disappointing from day two. Almost everything taste like it was out of a packet, and very bland. I don’t know what milk was used in the make your own coffee and tea, it tasted like long life milk all the time.

I have cruised with Carnival twice now and enjoy every moment of it! The crew are always friendly and helpful. The food is good and the specialty restaurants on board are even better. I feel the alcohol is well priced considering you cannot buy a beverage package other than the soft drinks. The daily info they drop into your cabin mailbox always excites me cause there is just always something fun and interesting to do if you are sea for a few days!
I will be sailing with Carnival for the third time in 2018 and cant wait!

This brand new ship was very impressive with lots of beautiful features, although I would have liked a promenade deck which went completely around the front of the ship. We disliked the large smoking areas as smoke drifted into other areas including in through the doors. The food was good but not amazing and the service particularly in the speciality restaurant let them down. The crew member organizing the tour departure was very abrupt and said that an hour after the advised departure time was not too long to wait. Was extremely disappointed that he was also suggesting people went to the toilets and they were blocked!! I thought this very bad on a new ship. There was noise above our cabin at 2 am were the crew were moving sunbeds. We also had problems with our television set and bees on deck. The ports of call were good except for Khos..

I just spent 7 days on the Dawn it was supposed to be a relaxing cruise but myself and 50 other couples were not happy becsuse we booked the cruise out of school holidays and there were 250 children on board the majority of them not supervised we could not even use the pool because the children were in it the whole time .PO gave the children free not fair .i would like a free cruise to compensate as would the other people. The children were in the Casino at all hours of the night with no adults not good .otherwise the food entertainment crew were great.

We have enjoyed all our P&O and overseas cruises however when we decided to do our mini cruise to Hamilton Island on the Aria we were pleasantly surprised and actually enjoyed being on a smaller ship. So easy to find our way around! We loved the pool atmosphere with open/close roof and the Art Deco design throughout the ship....we are off again very soon... this time to Fraser Island. Feeling confidet everything....including the food will be as excellent as last time

Did a 7 day cruise on the Pride of America in July 2017 and disappointed with our experience overall. We tried 3 specialty restaurants. The food at the Moderno was fine but was delivered to our table far too fast for us to enjoy it properly. The French Bistro (Jefferson's) food was excellent but the waitress was rushed and busy with other tables as well as ours and nearly poured our wine into our water glasses. At the Italian restautant La Cucina the food was barely warm and appeared to have been cooked then left a while before delivered to our table. The restaurant wasn't full and the staff didn't appear to be particularly busy. The cabin was small but adequate but most days our beds weren't made up and our cabin attended to until well after lunch, nearly 3pm. Some days I just asked for clean towels and said to leave the cabin. There was a discrepancy with our drinks bill and my husband went to the Customer Service desk 5 times to try to resolve it but we left the ship not knowing if it was finally settled to our satisfaction. The night entertainment was good though one night it was particularly loud and my husband wanted to leave. Most of the staff were reasonably helpful but didn't go out of their way to go the extra mile. I have left similar feedback on the NCL Pride of America site but have not had any response.

That was the first time we have cruised on the Aria and it will not be the last. The Pantry is a great improvement on the Plantation, which we previously experienced on the Dawn - although that has changed now. There were no great delays with people picking through food as there was with the Plantation. The entertainment was the usual standard - while not being fantastic was quite ok. My only complaint is that the air conditioner control did nothing to alter the sub-zero temperature(felt like it), in the cabin. Fortunately we did not have to spend a lot of time in there except for sleeping. If that ever occurs again I'll be making plenty of noise. All of the crew I encountered were very friendly and helpful, with even those we passed in the corridor being cheerful. Overall I prefer the Aria to the Dawn - which was also good.
